Creative Concept & Brand Integration

Casa WAN was a quiet and intimate holiday house (2019-2025) in nature where travellers stayed and artists experimented. Situated near Aljezur in Southwest Portugal, the boutique guesthouse also operated as an artist residency.

One invited international or local artist stayed cost-free for up to two months with access to a private studio. The artist was welcome to think and create, to research and play and leave behind a trace of their stay. Guests who stayed at Casa WAN directly supported and gained insight into an artist’s practice and enabled the time and space for creative endeavors on site.

It was personally decorated with vintage furniture, sustainable brands and preloved (design) objects.

Integrated brands:

The bed frames and mattresses are high-quality from natural materials by COCO-MAT, the ceramics are handmade by Motel a Miio, the bedding is hand-crafted by elegante, and the furniture and design textiles are sustainably produced by Fabrica Alentejana Lanificios.
